The first signs appeared today.
At present, Prague has 121 taxi stands and 49 of them have administrators.
Blazek said there were no problems with overcharging at stands with administrators, except for the stand at the Staromestske namesti (Old Town Square) in the city’s historical centre. The new fair place logo will not appear at the square, he added.
The town hall cancelled the contract with the administrator of the Old Town Square stand who nevertheless took the matter to court that has not yet decided on it.
The authorities will frequently check the supported taxi stands. “If our cooperation with the administrator does not work, we will promptly stop it,” Blazek said.

The firm has received an initial three-month contract worth five million dollars, said Lehner.
The U.S. authorities have not signed any contract with the firm that would also start preparatory work in the Czech Republic, where the second part of the U.S. missile defence base in Central Europe is to be located.
Lehner thus corrected the earlier information that Boeing had been given a go-ahead from the Pentagon to start planning the construction of the missile defence base both in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Lehner said it would be only decided later this year what firm would start planning the U.S. radar installations in the Czech Republic.

Hasek and Jeronym Tejc, head of the CSSD security commission, said Pospisil was unable to get enough money for the prison and judiciary systems from the government.
“He has been heading the office for almost a year, but apart from his media performances, he has not succeeded in many things,” Tejc said.
The Justice Ministry has not reacted to the criticism.
The daily Pravo said today Pospisil wanted the government to earmark some 250 million crowns for overcrowded prisons.
However, his demand was rejected in the first round of the government talks on the budget.
Pospisil argued there was a scarcity of probation officers and their number had to be even lowered upon a cabinet decision.
