The relevant ministers will deal with Tlusty’s proposals today, Topolanek added.

He also said that the cabinet had submitted “its idea” of a reform that is not fully “a fait accompli.”

Minarik was acquitted of charges of an attempted bomb attack in the seat of the U.S.-funded Radio Free Europe in Munich, Germany, in the 1970s. He worked for the radio from 1969 to 1976 as an StB agent.

Vesecka wanted that the investigation of Minarik’s case return to the preparatory proceedings. She said that new witnesses should be heard by the Office for the Investigation and Documentation of Communist Crimes (UDV).

The Supreme Court rejected Vesecka’s review on formal grounds. The arguments for the decision have not been released so far.
